Information and Updates:
- Farmville Town Council will hold a Public Hearingl meeting on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall, located at 116 North Main Street in accordance with Section 15.2-2606 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, on the issuance of general obligation bonds of the Town in the estimated maximum amount of $4,000,000 to finance, in whole or in part, various capital improvements.
Town Council will hold a special called Council meeting immediately following the above scheduled public hearing. The purpose of the meeting is to take action on the issuance of general obligations bonds of the Town of Farmville.
Town Council will tour the Immigration Centers of America-Farmville, LLC, located at 508 Waterworks Road, Farmville, immediately following their special called Council meeting.
- Farmville Town Council will attend the Library Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, April 9, 2010, at the new Farmville- Prince Edward Community Library located at 1303 West Third Street, Farmville, VA.
- The Farmville Town Council will meet jointly with the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmville Train Station located at 510 West Third Street, Farmville, VA.
- New spring programs are now available through the Farmville Recreation Department. The Recreation Department is pleased to offer affordable programs for all ages from toddlers to senior citizens. The Recreation Department's programs include classes and activities in the areas of arts, sports, fitness, aerobics, dance, outdoor adventure, karate, and much more. - Regular Town Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Town Council members will gather for dinner in the Town Manager's Conference Room located at 116 North Main Street, at 5:30 p.m. prior to each regularly scheduled Council meeting.
