Easter Egg Hunt 2022
On the morning of April 16th, 2022, The Farmville Recreation Department hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt with great success. The event took place at the Fireman Sports Arena, on Zion Hill Rd. The Egg Hunt included fun and interactive games for children. Photography with the Easter Bunny was provided onsite for individuals and families. Raffle prizes including large stuffed animals and scooters were given away to participants of the Easter Egg Hunt.
We would like to thank Coach Scott of Ice Cream Delight for serving sweet treats to kids and adults alike. We would also like to thank Jade Owl Photography for providing imagery of the event as well as portraiture. Lastly, we would like to thank The Virginia Children’s Book Festival for facilitating a book distribution to participants of the event.
The Recreation Department oversees the operation of the youth football and cheerleading program for the local area youth ages 5 to 14. The program is designed to teach local area children the fundamental principles and skills of cheerleading in a fun and safe environment. Cheerleaders are broken down into teams based on age and ability. Each age group will cheer for their age-appropriate team. If you would like more information about the Farmville Youth Cheerleading program, please contact Melvin Mitchell at 434-390-2614
