The Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) was established in 1978 by the Longwood Board of Visitors because of their understanding of the relationship of the arts to a balanced education. The LCVA offers a wide variety of educational programs for all ages and showcases various exhibitions throughout the year.
The Barbara Rose Johns Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library is the local branch and headquarters of Central Virginia Regional Library. They provide books, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, large print books, videos, public computers, free Wi-Fi, as well as e-books and digital audiobooks.
A center for the study of civil rights in education, The R.R. Moton Museum honors the efforts of local students and citizens who paved the way for integrated public education.
