Spring Cleanup |

The Town of Farmville will have its Spring Cleanup on Monday, April 21, 2008. Town residents will need to have all items at the curbside by 8:00 am on April 21st. This cleanup provides pickup of items not normally picked up such as; furniture, appliances, carpet, bedding and building materials. Any loose items must be boxed or bagged to be collected. Items must be in a container that is to be thrown away. Example: if you put small tree limbs in an old garbage can, the can will be thrown away with the limbs. If you set it out, it will be thrown away. Separate brush from other items such as bags, metal, furniture, etc. Recyclables should also be separate from all other debris. Motor oil needs to be in a capped, labeled container marked “Motor Oil”. It must be only used motor oil. Vehicle batteries will not be collected by the Town. No hazardous materials will be collected. In conjunction with the cleanup we will separate the electronic recyclable items for the E-Recycling event on Saturday, April 26th. If any town resident or business has any of the below listed items that they would like to dispose of, we will pick them up on Friday, April 25th on a call-in basis only. You must call by 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 24th for this pickup. The following items will be collected: J Computers (CPU’s, monitors, keyboards, cables, mice) J Cell Phones & Telephones J Laptops J TV’s, VCR’s and DVD’s J Video Game Consoles J Printers & Scanners J Camcorders J Stereos & Speakers J Other small electronics All items collected during this campaign become the property of the Town of Farmville, who is therefore responsible for its proper disposal.
