The Recreation Department plans, coordinates, and oversees activities for all ages. The Recreation Department host activities for youth, teens, adults and seniors in the Town of Farmville and surrounding areas.  The Recreation Department offers programs in the areas of arts, sports, fitness, outdoor recreation and special events. The Recreation Department also oversees the Recreation Scholarship Fund, a fund created to help ensure individuals are not turned away from recreational programs because of their inability to pay.

• 2010  FREE Summer Kiddie Movies: These movies are shown at the Sunchase Cinema 8 on Tuesday's & wednesday's  for ten weeks, starting June 1st, 2010 and showtime is 11:00 on those days.
