The Town Attorney is appointed by Town Council. The person chosen for this office must be a practicing attorney, licensed by the town and the state, with their law office located inside town limits.

The Town Attorney is the legal advisor of the mayor, town council and any committee or department operating under the town government. It is the duty of the town attorney to draft all legal instruments pertaining to the Town.
