The Town of Farmville provides water and sewer service. To inquire about this service contact the Town Treasurer’s Office at 434.392.3333 or visit us at 116 North Main Street. Water and sewer bills go out every other month and are due on the 20th of the same month. The rate schedule is as follows: The charge for water shall be:
The Minimum charge for water service within the town shall be seventeen dollars and thirty cents ($17.30) for up to and including three thousand (3,000) gallons, based on a bimonthly consumption. Out of town users will be charge an additional fifty (50) percent more then the minimum charge within the town. Where consumption outside the town is in excess of three thousand (3,000) gallons, the charge shall be fifty (50) percent more than the charges within the town, based on a bimonthly consumption. The charge for sewer is figured a charge equaling one hundred ten (110) percent of the water bill. There will be a bimonthly charge of forty-four dollars ($44.00) for customers who only are connected to the town sewer. Deposits on water: Residential consumers: a. In town........................$75.00 b. Outside the town...............$120.00
Commercial consumers (on the basis of the
treasurer's estimates of prospective consumer's use.)
All water and sewer permits are issued at
the Treasurer’s Office prior to installation. Thee fees below are not assumed to be
correct and should be considered as a starting point when hooking up to the Town water
and sewer.
In town water connection charges:
a. Residential, 3/4” tap, per unit……………..…$2,500.00
b. Commercial/industrial, 3/4” tap, per unit….. $3,000.00
