Sallie Amos was elected to Farmville Town Council in May 2020 and began serving her first term on July 1, 2020. Amos, a lifelong resident of the Town of Farmville, is a graduate of Longwood College with a B.S. Degree in Social Work. She retired on May 1, 2020, from the Virginia Department of Corrections as a Deputy Chief Probation Officer with over 28 years of service. Amos currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad, as well as the Virginia Municipal League’s committee on Human Development and Education Policy. Amos and her husband, Eddie, have a daughter, Mary Grace.
